Thomas Vencelides

About

Thomas has over 30 years production experience creating both television and feature films. He began his career in the early 90’s as a location manager in Toronto alternating between independent and major studio films as well as prime time television for studios such as NBC-Universal, Showtime, New Line Cinema, Lion’s Gate and Marvel Entertainment.

In 2007, he moved into production management, overseeing major theatrical productions including: Saw 5 (2008) Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) and Saw 3D: the Final Chapter (2010).

In 2010, Thomas joined Cineflix Productions as line producer on a variety of programs for National Geographic, A&E and Discovery. At the same time he was also a supervising producer on location in New York City and New Orleans on the feature film Cobu: Make Your Move (2011), and executive producer on the feature film The Barrens (2012).

Thomas continued at Cineflix building the scripted division producing two seasons of the critically acclaimed series Gangland Undercover (2015-2017), as well as the highly rated and critically acclaimed television movies Girl in the Box (2017) and Girl in the Bunker (2018).

As part of High Park Entertainment Thomas produced the sci-fi series V-Wars (2019) for Netflix based on the IDW graphic novels of the same name as well as the Canadian portion of the third season of the documentary series Haunted, also for Netflix. More recently,Thomas produced HPE’s feature film Trigger Point (2020) for Landmark Studios and Chicken Soup for the Soul.

Outside of HPE, Thomas worked as the Canadian producer of the British film ZOO (2017), which became the longest running independent theatrical release in Northern Ireland. Thomas was also the producer on the highly rated and critically acclaimed television feature Don’t Hang Up (2021) for Bounce as well as the line producer on the most recent Emmy nominated season of Malory Towers (2022) for the BBC.

Continuing with High Park Entertainment, Thomas produced the IFC/Shudder film Out Come the Wolves (2023) which is slated for a theatrical release in 2024, following which he joined High Park Entertainment full-time as Vice President, Head of Production, overseeing a slate of scripted and non-scripted projects.
